Henrik was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden. He grew up directing and editing skate films, music videos and short films. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media at Blekinge Institute of Technology in 2007. He continued his studies focusing on scriptwriting and directing at the film school Kulturama in Stockholm in 2009. Shortly after graduation Henrik began directing commercials. Today he's based in Stockholm, Sweden but frequently travels the world directing commercials.
Henrik is a film buff and a technical wizard who loves to make films through storytelling, preferably with a “larger than life“ feeling and a comical twist. His films radiate joy, charm and wit and he always puts extra detail in finding the characters that you love and care about.
To this day Henrik continues to shoot numerous commercials and short films. Considering his strong storytelling background in both short films and music videos, Henrik always aims to bring that esthetic into commercials. Henrik’s clients include Volvo, Burger King, Etisalat, Rewe, Grolsch, Bosch and the Swedish amusement park Gröna Lund (which he won a Brass Ring award in the US).
In Sweden, Henrik can be found at Palladium, in France Satellite My Love and the ones who takes care of business elsewhere is Betti Berlin, based in Germany. So if you like what you see, please contact them!
Henrik’s first step into film making came when he decided to hand in a film instead of written essay at lower primary school.
